Laurel Place-Boyd is our Owner and the wife of our late founder, Don Boyd. With her background in food ingredient sales, marketing & customer service, along with her degree in Food Science she is a great resource for our customers and suppliers.
Suzi Benedict is our Inside Sales and Customer Service Manager extraordinaire. She joined Boyd Brokerage in 2007 and had the privilege of training under Don Boyd. Her common sense, industry knowledge and problem-solving skills make her a very value member of our team.
Tami Benedict joined Boyd Brokerage in 2013 and is our Marketing & Customer Service Coordinator. With her degree in Journalism & Anthropology she's the perfect person to be our social media guru, the voice behind our Twitter account & blog, and the concept designer of our website. She also really loves dogs.
Stephanie grew up in an Italian family of amazing cooks, including her immigrant grandparents from central Italy. She traveled throughout Mexico, learning about their regional cuisines and came back inspired. Stephanie knew there was nothing else she wanted more then creating and celebrating food, which is why she went to culinary school to be trained in French techniques. Today, Stephanie has a plethora of experience and knowledge in the food industry and her philosophy is “great and nourishing food is a life sustaining necessity.” She is ready to help customers build bold, craveable products with all our delicious ingredients.
Don Boyd founded Boyd Brokerage in 1984. In addition to providing our customers with exceptional products and unparalleled service, Don shared his leadership, guidance and business wisdom with food manufacturers throughout Northern California. In July 2013, Don sadly lost his battle with lung cancer. Don's passion for servicing our customers still guides us to this day with our manta “What would Don Do?"
